Student Banking

Norwin Teachers Federal Credit Union is proud of our partnership with Norwin School District in an initiative to promote financial literacy. We currently have a student branch at the high school. This branch is open Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunches. The branch is run by student volunteers who are supervised by our Student Branch Coordinator. Students have the opportunity to not only bank with us but also see how a credit union works from the inside. Any student of Norwin School District is eligible to join the credit union as a member. Student accounts require a $5.00 one time deposit to their account.

Those students younger than 18 who wish to open a Draft (Checking) Account and apply for a debit card must have a parent or guardian on the account.

Once a student joins the credit union, membership eligibility is then opened up to their immediate family. Norwin Teachers Federal Credit Union holds close the idea that once you are a member, you are always a member. This is no different for our student accounts! Even after graduation students can keep their accounts open and use our online features like Online Banking and the Mobile App to stay on top of their finances from anywhere!
